Aquatic Ecology (Est. 2001) offers a full range of services related to the aquatic environment and water quality.

Aquatic Ecology has experience with ecological and water quality issues associated with water takes, discharges, diversions, and aquatic habitat enhancement.

Aquatic Ecology has extensive experience with the Resource Management Act (RMA). This includes assessing the potential ecological and water quality impacts of proposed water takes, discharges, and stream diversions. We also have experience in monitoring the impacts of those activities once the consents have been implemented.

Monitoring the state of freshwater communities is a cornerstone of Aquatic Ecology's work, be it populations of algae, invertebrates, trout and trout spawning, or native fishes such as inanga and kokopu. Whitebait spawning surveys are a particular specialty.
